After a challenging draw last week with a reduced squad, the Tigers fielded a strong team against the Crusaders for our second match against them of the season. Following a competitive home victory earlier in the season, we anticipated that the opposition would be eager for revenge.

The game kicked off with the home team showcasing aggressive runs, but the Tigers' superb defense held firm. It wasn’t long before our forwards took control, powering through with dynamic running. Energized by huge tackles and powerful fends, we soon registered our first try of the afternoon. This sparked a surge in confidence, and we began to build an impressive lead. The backs dominated throughout the first half, extending our advantage by the break.

The second half continued in the same vein, with the Tigers maintaining control in the contact zone, providing a solid platform for ongoing attacks and more scoring opportunities. Although the opposition managed a spirited comeback, scoring three quick tries, our players steadied themselves and dominated the final 15 minutes, securing a resounding 49-19 victory.

The U14s have made a fantastic start to the season, and their hard work and dedication are clearly paying off. This talented group embodies the spirit of our club and is a true reflection of the club's values. While we know tougher challenges lie ahead, they should take great pride in what we’ve built together as we prepare for the upcoming cup.
